LIFE

So if you read my last post, you know we were about to go on a little road trip to Savannah, Georgia for a friend's wedding.  This was the first loong car ride for both kiddos, since it was about a 7 hour drive.  To my surprise, my 2 year old did great, but the little 10 month old....not so much.  She's right at the age where all she wants to do is explore, so keeping her in a car seat for that long just made for a really frustrated little girl.  But that really didn't start until we got to Georgia and she got car sick.  "Yay!" lol  Unfortunately, it was cold, rainy, and overcast the entire time we were there.  We stayed at the Westin Harborside (that's where the wedding was) which was a beautiful hotel right on the water with a ferry that went from the back of the hotel across the river to Savannah's Historic District.  On the way up I was able to call The Lady & Son's and get us reservations for 11 am on Saturday. (Paula Deen's restaurant)

Saturday morning we all woke up late...since it was so dark out from all the clouds, which made for a late breakfast around 9:30.  Needless to say, when we drove around the Historic District and it came time to go to our lunch...no one was too excited.  I was determined though, I was not coming all the way to Savannah and NOT eating at The Lady & Son's.  Instead of eating a traditional lunch, we all decided on something smaller.  Like a slice of Pecan Pie, a cup of Crab Stew and Fried Green Tomatoes.  Everything was absolutely delicious, and honestly we were pretty filled up after the Hoe Cake and Garlic Cheese Bread they give you at the table.  Needless to say we were all glad that we went. It was a fun lunch, our waiter was great and they were very accommodating for the little ones.  Definitely a MUST EAT AT, if you ever travel through Savannah.  Here's a link to their site so you can call ahead for reservations:The Lady and Sons

After lunch, we took a walk through one of the parks on our way to our car.  The trees were so beautiful, it was like a picture out of a book.  We are planning on going back at some point so we can see more of all the parks and little shops they had.

Despite the weather, we still made the best of our trip.  The wedding was very small, but still a lot of fun.  On the way back we took a little pit stop in Orlando over night to break up the ride.  We went to Downtown Disney and had a great time eating our ice cream for dinner, watching the sun set as we listened to fun music on the stage and having fun with our oldest in the HUGE Disney store!

Next time you're in Downtown Disney and you are in that big store...take a minute...and look UP!  I took her in and she actually started pointing out everything to me that they have hanging on the ceiling.  Then we tried on some silly hats and ears and took pictures together. The best part though, was when we happened to pass by the Bibbity Bobbity Bootique as one of the ladies that worked there was granting wishes to all of the little "princesses".  She took out a wand, asked her name and then proceeded to sprinkle her with fairy dust and said "Princess Bella, may all of your dreams and wishes come true!"  And this wasn't just a light sprinkle, this was like a bucket of glitter in her hair!  The look on her face was priceless, and I wish I had taken a picture.  I have to say, despite the car sickness and not so great weather in Georgia, our last minute trip to Orlando more than made up for it.

Those little moments in life when you see the twinkle in a little ones eye, or just stop and forget the hustle and bustle and enjoy even the simplest of things (like the beautiful trees in a park or having a tea party with your little girl), are what make LIFE...Simply Gorgeous.

Orange You Glad It's Almost Summer?

As promised, here is a vibrant and gorgeous orange look for the summer!  Brought to you by the experts at Mary Kay.
These eye colors are really pretty neutrals. The Mineral Eye Colors pictured above are Gold Coast, Amber Blaze and Truffle.

Mary Kay Mineral Eye Colors are long lasting, fade-resistant, crease-resistant, and give you high impact color in one swipe leaving a natural, luminous finish that is gorgeous on any skin tone.  And did you know??  They also contain vitamins A, C, and E?  "Why?", you ask.  They help fight against wrinkle causing free radicals.  Who knew you could get anti-aging benefits from an eyeshadow?  And the best part is they're only $6.50 each, which means you can buy 3 for less than the price of one MAC eyeshadow!!

As for the rest of this "Sun-Goddess" look...The Mineral Bronzer pictured here is Sandstone, a two-tone matte bronzer that gives you just the right amount of glow when you need a little help, tan-wise.  The eyeliner is Deep Brown with the Lash Love Mascara in Black.  The Mango Tango Nourishine Lipgloss has a great name because it is a spicy color on!  I only wish I knew where to get that beautiful dress and cute shoes!

Like this look?  Buy this set (you can choose the lipgloss and lipstick colors, since they are very bold!) and get a FREE Mary Kay Compact, and Compact Brushes!  A $23 Value!!

Mary Kay Compact $18
I don't know if you've ever seen our compacts, but they are pretty cool.  All of the Mary Kay Cheek Colors, Eye Colors, Bronzers and Powders are magnetic, so they just pop in and out of the case.  Change the colors in your compact with the change of the seasons or the change of your mood!  Plus that indentation at the top holds the Lipgloss or Lipstick of your choice.  My favorite part is it takes away the need for a makeup bag in your purse and you have your whole look all in one place.

To purchase the look above go here:  www.marykay.com/priscillabergstrom
Choose the items above, (you can change the colors if you like) just make sure you purchase the same amount of items in each category.

We're going to a wedding this weekend, so I'll be back to posting next week!  Wish us luck, it's the first 8 hour car ride we'll be doing with the two little ones....should be interesting!
